Search Engine Optimization more affectionately known as SEO works only when you have quality backlinks. Quality backlinks are backlinks in which the theme of the website you are linked from is the same as your website, and that the website links to yours with the keyword phrase that you are trying to optimize for.
There is a great tool called Backlink Builder that you can use right here from this page. It is seen below. To get the Backlink Builder and install it on your web page or blog simply go http://www.webconfs.com/backlink-builder.php
With this tool you can search for websites of the theme you specify that contain keyphrases based upon the keywords of the niche that your blog or website is best classified in. In this way you can find many quality potential backlinks.

Recently I joined a new social networking company. It is a lot like MySpace but it is more set up for people interested in business and networking rather than fun and dating like MySpace is. The name of this company is Apsense. I am already starting to make new friends and contacts there.
The official description at the Apsense home page is:
Apsense is a free Social Network driven by its users who share common business interests. Our online service is FREE for anyone with Home Based Businesses. Imagine a place where you can connect with other business individuals and see how fast and easy it is to build your very own private social network!
Apsense is currently free for the first 5,000 members so I suggest if you want to be a part of this new social networking experience that you sign up now and upgrade your account for free.

I just downloaded a fantastic tool that I saw advertised a few months ago. It is called PR Backlink Generator. When I first saw it was part of one of those sales where the price rises every five minutes. I think that the final price given was $37, although it may have been more.
I am mentioning this on this blog because it is one of those pieces of software that can help you improve your SEO. How does it do that? Well, you enter your name, email address, and blog URL into the first screen. The second screen allows you to enter the keywords that you most associate with your blog. You then start a search process. After the search is done you are left with a list of URL’s of some of the top Wordpress blogs associated with your keywords. You can then choose which ones you want to comment on based upon Google page rank. The software allows you to open 10 browsers at a time each with one of the chosen blogs. You can personalize your post as much as possible as related to the post you are commenting on. This keeps it as getting seen as spam and allows you to potentially get a higher page rank.
I received this software for free through a giveaway event called 117 Software Goodies. There are several free pieces of software here, but the reason I am listing this giveaway here is because it is a tool to use with Wordpress related blogs.

Up until now many of the posts on this website have been about blog related programs that you can join in order to make money. I want to start getting a little bit more professional with this blog and I hope that it will encourage more of you to leave comments.
I recently came across an article on blogging and backlinks over at a blog called Blog Rumble.
In the blog post titled Building Quality Backlinks the author of the post Ah Pek discusses how Google looks poorly at backlinks that just are put in place to build links between blogs that are not even related to one another.
What he does refer to in this post is from an article by Jim Boykin titled Why that site with 50 backlinks beats your site with 1000 backlinks. That reference is about why quality backlinks are more important than having more backlinks.
He goes on to say:
A backlink could be considered as a Quality Backlink if
1. The theme of the backlinking website is the same as your website.
2. It links to your website with the keyword (keyphrase) that you are trying to optimize for.
The main gist of the post by Ah Pek is that non relevant links may send your Technorati rankings higher for a time being, although these could quickly fall as they don’t have relevance to one another. On the other hand Google won’t be looking at these links when their robots crawl our sites.
There is also a link to an article in the post that presents 66 ways to build backlinks as well as this excellent blog post having a backlink builder tool attached to it.
If you are interested in SEO and getting more visits to your blog I would suggest reading the post at http://makanon.com/building-quality-backlinks/ in detail.
